FAQ

The quiet questions

Shelf life, oil, the road, the heat. If something else is on your mind, the WhatsApp on the order page is enough.

How long does a jar keep?

Six to nine months, if the oil stays on top and you use a dry spoon. The oil is the seal. Once the fruit sits above it, eat that jar sooner.

Why is there so much oil?

Always leave the oil on top. Do not drain it to make the achar look neater. That oil is how the jar travels and how it lasts.

Where do you ship?

India only. Most jars reach in three to six days. Glass, wrapped, then boxed. If something arrives open, write to us with a photograph.

How hot is it?

Each jar is marked. Meetha keri is mild. Keri and the winter mix sit in the middle. Nimbu mirch and the thecha are not polite. If you are unsure, start with keri.

Can she make a custom batch?

Write to her. If the season has the fruit, and she has the time, she will say yes. Less chili, more methi, no garlic — she has heard it before.

How do I pay?

After she confirms the batch. UPI or cash when it arrives. We do not take money for a jar that is not yet packed.
